Job Summary:

• Client is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join the Analytical Development group within the Genomic Medicine Unit Bioanalytic, which develops, validates, and transfers analytical methods used for characterization and release of viral and non-viral therapeutics to support clinical development of new medicines.
• The successful candidate will participate in the development and validation of PCR based assays and other analytical techniques routinely used to support gene therapy development.
• A strong background in qPCR and dPCR/ddPCR is desired, with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in an industry setting performing and developing molecular biology assays.
• Cell culture and bioassay experience is also a benefit.
• This role operates within a cGMP environment and requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional departments.

Requirements:

• Degree in Molecular or cellular biology.
• MS and 2+ years of industry experience OR BS and +4-6 years of industry experience OR fresh Phd candidates only.
• Sample testing and assay development are primary responsibilities
• Almost entirely in lab role except for meetings ddPCR and QuantStudio.
• PCR System experience.
• Molecular biology or cell biology background.
• Next-gen sequencing experience.
• Assay development experience.
• GMP experience.
