Job Description
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented candidate with hands-on experience in cell biology and laboratory research to support high-throughput cell-based studies in a BSL-2 laboratory environment.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with primary cell culture, mammalian cell systems, and cell-based assays, along with strong organizational and documentation skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform cell culture activities, including primary cell isolation and maintenance of mammalian cell lines.
- Execute various cell-based assays independently and accurately.
- Conduct high-throughput sample testing in a timely and organized manner.
- Maintain excellent aseptic technique to ensure sterility and quality of cultures and assay outcomes.
- Work safely and effectively within a BSL-2 laboratory environment.
- Maintain detailed electronic laboratory notebooks and prepare technical summaries and supporting analyses.
- Support laboratory operations, including multitasking, troubleshooting experiments, and maintaining documentation standards.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD student or advanced graduate student in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline.
Hands-on experience with:
- Primary cell isolation.
- Mammalian cell culture.
- Flow cytometry.
- RNAi techniques.
- Cell-based assays.
- Strong understanding of core cell biology laboratory techniques, including pipetting, aseptic technique, and media preparation.
- Ability to perform basic dilution and stoichiometric calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory setting while collaborating effectively within a team.
