Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct siRNA drug candidate screening, hit identification, and lead optimization.
- Apply cellular and molecular biology methodologies, e.g., mammalian cell culture; in vitro screening (e.g., transfection); cell-based assays; PCR.
- Support in vivo drug candidate testing (e.g., mouse dosing; sample analysis).
- Innovate and advance research projects to further optimize the siRNA platform.
- Generate high-quality technical documentation and communicate findings internally and externally.
Qualifications:
- MS w/2 years experience or PhD w/1 year experience in cell or molecular biology (or a related field) – experience must be post-degree experience preferably in drug discovery and in an industry setting.
- Expertise in cellular and molecular biology is essential (e.g., mammalian cell culture; cell-based assays; qPCR).
- Experience with RNA-seq, library preparation and immunoprecipitation-based workflow are desired.
- Proficiency in animal handling, dosing, and necropsy is desired.
- Demonstrated ability to execute and interpret experiments rigorously, deliver reliable results and drive projects aggressively towards defined goals.
- A strong team player with a high energy and a passion for contributing to the discovery and development of Client therapeutics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to contribute effectively to group projects in a team-oriented environment.
