Job Description

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced biologist to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantitative image analysis and microscopy, with a focus on neuroanatomy.
• This role requires hands-on experience with mouse handling, necropsy procedures, and data analysis.
• The candidate should be able to work independently and effectively present findings to small groups.

Experiences:

• Demonstrated experience with quantitative image analysis tools, such as ImageJ, Indica Labs HALO, HALO AI, or Python.
• Proven experience in image acquisition, strong microscopy skills, and a solid working knowledge of mouse and human neuroanatomy.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with mouse handling and necropsy procedures, including blood and tissue collection.
• Experience with automated immunostainers, such as Ventana platforms.
• Experience with whole-body perfusion and brain microdissection.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to support in vivo study execution, laboratory organization, and sample management.
• Ability to independently analyze data, including the application of practical statistical methods.
• Ability to effectively present data in small-group meetings.
• General knowledge of immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization methods.
• Expertise in applying histological markers associated with Alzheimer’s disease pathology; including amyloid plaques, tauopathy, gliosis, and neuroimmune function.
