Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:

• The Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician is responsible for calibrating, testing, and shipping Beckman Echo systems.
• This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is part of the Production Team located in San Jose, CA and will be an on-site role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow established procedures to calibrate, test, and prepare instruments for shipping.
• Provide the first line of troubleshooting for diagnosing problems.
• Contribute to group problem solving and process improvement activities.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in calibration manufacturing position.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field or comparable long-standing work experience (Computer, Life Sciences, Chemistry or similar).
• Effective and analytical problem-solving skills, including basic understanding of statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests.
• Proactive profile, asks questions and has initiative.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.

Previous Experience in:

• BS degree in a Life Science, Chemistry, or Engineering technology discipline.
• Prior work experience with calibration, automation, centrifuges, plate readers, etc.
• Familiarity with chemistry and liquid handling equipment.
