Job Description
Job Summary:
- As a tissue culture biologist, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding various cell lines, performing and troubleshooting cell-based assays, and optimizing protocols.
- You will also provide automation support and data analysis for high-throughput in-vitro assays using liquid handlers.
- You will work closely with other scientists and engineers on the Protomer team to ensure and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the tissue culture and automation processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and expand various cell lines.
- Perform and troubleshoot cell-based assays.
- Optimize protocols for tissue culture processes.
- Provide automation support for high-throughput in-vitro assays using liquid handlers.
- Conduct data analysis for assays.
- Collaborate with other scientists and engineers to improve the quality and efficiency of processes.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, biotechnology, or related field.
- Experience in tissue culture with mammalian cells; at least one year preferred.
- Experience in using automation platforms, such as Tecan, Hamilton, or Client preferred.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, R, or Python.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
