Job Description

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated Pharmacology Associate I to join an In Vivo Pharmacology team supporting metabolic disease research.
  • This hands-on laboratory position will focus on conducting in vivo studies related to obesity and cardiovascular disease programs while working within a collaborative, cross-functional research environment.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in animal research, a passion for scientific discovery, and a desire to develop within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
  • This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to drug discovery programs while Producing exposure to project teams and scientific strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute in vivo pharmacology studies in support of metabolic disease research programs.
  • Perform rodent handling and support animal-based research activities in a vivarium environment.
  • Assist with study execution, data collection, and experimental procedures.
  • Conduct tissue collection and downstream tissue processing activities.
  • Analyze and organize experimental data using standard scientific software tools.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to support research objectives.
  • Maintain accurate experimental records and documentation.
  • Follow established laboratory, animal care, and safety procedures.
  • Participate in team discussions and contribute to project advancement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in pharmacology, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Animal Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Hands-on experience conducting in vivo studies.
  • Experience handling rodents and performing animal research procedures.
  • Strong technical laboratory skills and willingness to learn new techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting metabolic disease, obesity, cardiovascular disease, or related therapeutic areas.
  • Prior pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or industry experience.
  • Experience working in a vivarium environment.
  • Familiarity with GraphPad Prism or similar scientific data analysis software.
  • Experience supporting large-scale preclinical studies.
  • Recent graduates with a master’s degree in pharmacology and relevant in vivo experience are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment:

  • Significant time spent in the vivarium conducting animal studies.
