Job Description

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our MFG team as Lab Technician at our Fremont CA site.
  • This role supports laboratory functions for Bulk Formulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Includes cleaning, preparing and stocking labware and consumables for manufacturing use.
  • Manufacture buffers and matrices and complete batch records following cGMPs.
  • Perform in-process assays using equipment such as spectrophotometers and pH meters.
  • Weighing, transfer, mixing of chemicals required.
  • Maintain daily logs in accordance with cGMP and GDP.
  • Perform filtrations using pumps and other equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement including daily/weekly sustaining activities for the lab environment.
  • Keep department lead or manager updated on all issues.
  • Monitor stocks of common lab supplies; help reorder items as needed including broken or worn labware.
  • Perform other job duties as required.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • AA degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 0-2 years experience.
  • Experience working in a cGMP facility preferred.
  • Experience working in a lab environment a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated and focused.
  • Can follow procedures carefully.
  • Computer/software skills (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Ability to read and write English and understand instructions written or orally in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Controlled Substance Handling: This role involves the handling of controlled substances.
  • The role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines on controlled substances.
  • Exposure to Controlled Substances: The role may be exposed to controlled substances during their duties.
  • Proper safety protocols and protective measures will be provided and must be strictly followed.
  • Safety Protocols: Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Background Check: Successful completion of a background check, including screening for any history related to controlled substances.
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time (up to 8 hrs.).
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. routinely
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
