Job Description
Job Summary:
- The main function of a Process Development Technician is to support the design, testing, and optimization of manufacturing or laboratory processes.
- A typical Process Development Technician works closely with engineers and scientists to implement new procedures, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure process efficiency and compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and scale-up of new manufacturing or laboratory processes.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain process equipment and instrumentation.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate process performance and identify improvements.
- Document procedures, results, and standard operating protocols (SOPs).
- Support validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Train operators and technicians on new or revised processes.
Education/Experience:
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Science, or related field preferred 2-4 years of experience in process development, manufacturing, or laboratory support.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and process documentation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and process simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or other regulatory standards.
