Laboratory Tech

Job Description

Education and Experience:

• Recent grads or junior candidates (HS w/ a few years of experience okay).
• NO Masters degree.
• 1-2 year college courses working towards a scientific degree.
• Lab experience very helpful either in previous position or in school.
• Position available for DNA production – Synthesis/cleaving-deprotection areas.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Detail oriented.
• Multitasker.
• Basic PC skills (Microsoft, IE, web-based applications).
• Flexibility to work more than 8 hours.
• Knowledge on how to use equipment and instruments in a lab setting very helpful.

Technical Skills:

• Science background desired.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic reading/writing skills.
