Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Analytical Chemist Associate is responsible for performing physical, chemical, and bioanalytical characterization of finished products and raw material samples.
- This role applies standard chemistry techniques and scientific methods to support experimental objectives and generate accurate, data-driven insights.
- The position is primarily laboratory-based and requires strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis of raw materials and finished products using established analytical methods.
- Conduct basic bench chemistry techniques, including pH, viscosity, and particle size analysis.
- Prepare samples and perform testing using chromatography and gravimetric analysis.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
- Accurately document experimental data in laboratory notebooks (GMP compliance).
- Review and interpret analytical data to support business decisions.
- Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommend solutions.
- Follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Experience in an academic or industrial laboratory setting.
- Strong emphasis on accurate notebook documentation.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and document various types of data.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must Have:
- Analytical Chemistry.
- Method Transfer and Validation.
- Third-Party Collaboration.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with LIMS and CISPRO systems.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments such as HPLC, AA, UV-VIS, XPS.
- Titration techniques and viscosity testing methods.
- GMP notebook documentation practices.
- Nexus verification.
Work Environment:
- Primarily laboratory-based role.
- Requires handling of lab equipment and test samples.
