Job Description
Job Summary:
- Work to implement new policies and processes associated with nonclinical and clinical sample inventory Understand global consenting practices and norms for use of biospecimens in biomarker research including genomic research.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain sample inventory data in to-be-developed tracking system.
- Engage with project scientists to identify and mobilize sample inventories required for compliance with agency requirements, internal policies and industry practices.
- Provide information needed to maintain and forecast budgeting for sample storage and related activities.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Regulatory, departmental scientists and other stakeholders to manage documentation needed for sample disposition.
- Support procure-to-pay process related to sample management through coordination of contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Participate in ad hoc projects, as needed, including building new infrastructure, improvement projects and analysis projects.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or project management/operations aligned field.
- 3-5 years of experience in sample management in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Expert planning and tracking skills, with the ability to capture details and summarize across teams and functions.
- Well organized, focused on results, capable of independently managing projects, excellent time management skills with respect to priorities and self-management.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English).
