Description

  • As a quality control technician, you will be responsible for performing sensorial evaluations (olfactive, color, etc.) and qualitative assessments of raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • In this role, you will focus on achieving key performance indicators, particularly the goods receipt processing time (GRPT), by executing timely and accurate sensorial testing, documenting results, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Your work will directly support product quality, consistency, and release efficiency across operations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain rigorous quality control standards.
  • A strong background in sensorial evaluation and analytical documentation, coupled with MS Excel proficiency, is essential for success in this role.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sensorial evaluations, including olfactive and color assessments, comparing findings against established company standards to ensure product consistency and quality.
  • Conduct qualitative inspections of raw materials and finished goods, verifying alignment with product specifications and recording accurate results.
  • Drive the achievement of goods receipt processing time (GRPT) above 95%, ensuring timely completion and reporting of sensorial evaluations and sample releases.
  • Utilize MS Excel to record, analyze, and summarize data, preparing clear and detailed reports for communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain high data integrity and traceability by following strict documentation and recordkeeping practices for all evaluations and results.
  • Identify trends, deviations, or discrepancies in sensorial data and collaborate with the quality control and product development teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, testing protocols, and applicable industry regulations for sensorial assessments.
  • Support product release activities by providing timely, accurate test data to facilitate decision-making in line with quality and production objectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department by suggesting process optimizations and supporting new testing methodologies.

You Bring:

  • A degree or technical diploma in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field, with at least 1–2 years of experience in a quality control or laboratory environment within the fragrance, flavor, or chemical industry.
  • Hands-on experience in sensorial evaluations (olfactive and color), with a strong understanding of product quality attributes and sensory characteristics.
  • Solid proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to record, analyze, and summarize quality data effectively.
  • Experience with key performance indicators (KPIs) and a focus on operational efficiency, particularly related to goods receipt processing time (GRPT).
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and a commitment to maintaining high testing standards.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to report findings and collaborate across teams.
  • A proactive and reliable mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with good laboratory practices (GLP) and standard quality control procedures within the fragrance or chemical industries is preferred.
