Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform in an organized and timely manner.
• Perform Cell Culture of Primary Cells and complete various Cell-Based Assays independently.
• Perform high-throughput sample testing in an organized and timely manner.
• Maintain excellent aseptic technique and ensure sterility/quality of cell culture and assay outcomes.
• Work safely within BSL-2 laboratory environment.
• Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks, prepare precise technical report summaries, any necessary analysis, and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Basic Laboratory management, multitasking, and experimental troubleshooting.

Education and Experience:

• Master of Science degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline with emphasis in molecular and cell biology, immunology, or related disciplines, with three to five years of hands-on experience or PhD with zero to 2 years of Postdoc experience.
• Training and experience with Cell Culture (Primary Cells isolation, Mammalian Cell Culture, flow cytometry, RNAi, etc.) is a must-have.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of and/or skills in the cell biology field (pipetting, aseptic technique, preparing media, cell-based assay work, etc.)
  Comfort working within a fast-paced lab environment.
• Ability to perform basic dilution and stoichiometric calculations.
• Ability to work independently with ambiguity and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills required.
