Job Description

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an energetic individual with effective communication, technical and operational skills to join our team.
  • The candidate will follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) and work in compliance with EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and any other required manufacturing or company systems (e.g., E1 (Enterprise 1), Agile, Track wise, etc.).
  • This position will be responsible for supporting the team in achieving daily production schedules and product quality goals.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will follow SOPs and work in compliance with EH&S, GLP, and any other required manufacturing or company systems (e.g., E1, Agile, Track wise, etc.).
  • This position will be responsible for supporting the team in achieving daily production schedules and product quality goals.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of scientific principles, biology.
  • Culture and maintain cells using aseptic technique.
  • Operate manual and automated laboratory equipment like ELISA, PCR etc.
  • Perform mathematical calculations routinely (e.g., viability, concentration, and density).
  • Record information accurately into various electronic databases (e.g., raw and calculated data, inventory transfers, routing hours).
  • Review data, recognize and report inconsistencies to the supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot and think critically.
  • Anticipate needs and problems while creating solutions using the PPI (Practical Process Improvement) tool.
  • Scheduling, closing work orders, and NPI.
  • Understand and apply good documentation practices consistently when documenting work.
  • Follows client safety guidelines and any additional duties given by the supervisor
  • On-call Hours required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Minimum of 0-2 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of Aseptic Technique/cGMP manufacturing.
  • 0-2 years of mammalian Cell Culture experience.
  • Hepatocytes or primary cells culture experienced preferred.
  • Must be customer focused, able to work under pressure with team.
  • Anticipate needs and problems while creating solutions using PPI (Practical Process Improvement) tool.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency, contagious optimism and a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Proven ability to follow policies and procedures consistently and independently; written and verbal instruction, and to meet schedules required.
  • Able to work with business computer software with logistics related databases desired and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems experience.
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping, and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to be on call, and to work some weekends if needed.
