Job Description

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a motivated Associate Scientist/ Scientist to be part of a team focused on non-viral gene therapy formulation in the Genomic Medicine Unit.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in targeted non-viral formulation development and optimization for several different projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of customized non-viral formulations.
  • Apply scientific expertise and judgement to initiate, design and execute experiments in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Maintain accurate experiment records and material inventory.
  • Analyze and present experiment data clearly and effectively.
  • Acts as an impactful contributor of project teams and transverse initiatives.
  • Foster creativity, productivity, execution with a sense of urgency, scientific integrity and accountability.
  • Maintains a collaborative culture.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • PhD level candidate 0-2 years of experience (industry exp), very experienced leader, served in leadership roles, must have LNP experience.
  • MS level candidate 3-6 years of experience, served in leadership roles.
  • BS 5+ years of experience, served in leadership roles.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Hands-on experience in nucleic acid drug formulation and development (especially nanoparticle delivery technologies) is required.
  • Results-oriented, with a track record of significant contribution to research projects and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently design, execute, interpret, and present experimental results.
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast paced industry and work environment.
  • Experience in preparing high quality documents including technical reports, presentations, SOPs, experimental protocols, and regulatory filings.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
