Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs site security patrols.
- Respond to security events, automatic alarms and requests for assistance throughout the site.
- He/she serves as Plant Fire Chief/Incident Commander in case of emergency when Command Center Manager is not present.
- Must be familiar with the site and the specific installations regarding fire prevention, Hazmat, rescue and medical rescues.
- Other functions will include investigating incidents, recordkeeping, communications, reporting, and other document preparation associated with the above.
- Performs all assignments with limited supervision.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Fire protection experience, within the past 8 years, including 5 years of active volunteer or paid experience in municipal fire protection preferably as a Chief Officer.
- FM property conservation, OSHA Training General Industry and/ or Construction.
- Valid PA Driver’s license/ CDL Preferred. Driving Chevy work vehicle.
- Pennsylvania Emergency Vehicle Operator Course or Equivalent.
- Current certification in Pa State Firefighter I, Firefighter II preferred.
- Incident Command Training with National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100,700 minimum.
- Current PA State Fire Academy Hazmat Operations – Technician preferred.
- Confined Space Rescue Training, Pro Board Certification preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial level utility systems (air, steam, high voltage, etc.).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, EMT Preferred.
- Knowledge of suppression systems.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Schedule Notes:
- 4 – Days 5:30 am- 5:30 pm.
- 7 days OFF.
- 4 – Nights 5:30 pm- 5:30 am
- 3 Days OFF.
- 3 – Days 5:30 am – 5:30 pm.
- 1 – Day OFF.
- 3 – Nights 5:30 pm – 5:30 am.
- 3 – Days OFF.
- Cycle repeats, position includes weekends & Holidays.
