R&D Lab Technician II

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Performing analytical testing under cGMP on raw materials and finished products in various stages of development.
• Providing sufficient level knowledge on one or more Physical Chemistry analytical techniques.
• Preparation and distribution of data and reports to various levels of senior management.
• Analyzes raw materials and finished goods and evaluates/interprets results.
• Prepares reports, distributes results and engages with management, brand labs and support teams to solve their testing needs.

Requirements:

• BS in Chemistry/Physics/Chemical Engineering or Related Field.
• Experience analyzing product formulations to determine efficacy, stability and sensory characteristics (cosmetic formulations preferred).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Basic technical skills in analytical chemistry and instrumentation.
• Basic to moderate level of knowledge in one or more of the following analytical techniques- Rheology, Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Particle Size Analysis, Color Analysis by Spectrophotometer, Digital Microscopy.
• Basic knowledge of GMP regulations and ICH guidelines.
• Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive delivery of results in a timely fashion.
• Must have good communication skills (Written & Verbal), including the ability to write technical reports.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
