Associate Scientist

Job Description

Job Summary:

• The primary purpose of this position is to support the development of new products and modifications of existing ones.
• Is assigned several projects of different degrees of complexity.
• Ensures the timely completion of product development activities.
• The individual may be required to record data results, write reports, perform database entry, along with other laboratory functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the development of new cosmetic products or modifications of existing ones.
• Contributes and establishes manufacturing procedures.
• Makes constructive contributions to product formulation.
• Determines stability of the formulation and ensures commercial feasibility.
• Establishes standards and submits batch cards to lab management for review.
• Responsible for several projects of different degrees.
• Ensures the timely completion of product development activities.
• Assures that all testing to guarantee a marketable final product is on schedule.
• Keeps laboratory management and key project members informed of progress.
• Designs & conducts experiments requiring the selection of equipment & materials for the delivery of the project.
• Prepare study protocols for in-house studies and/or peer review protocols written by colleagues.
• Innovate and enhance products to meet market demands effectively, while understanding consumer needs and preferences.

Requirements:

• Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Health Science or related field.
• Technical experience in the cosmetic industry.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project planning skills.
• Ambitious attitude, go-getter.
• Self starter and not afraid to ask questions.
