Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Quality Inspector ensures all products, materials, and components meet company and regulatory standards through inspections, testing, and documentation.
- They also maintain proper control of quarantine areas and support quality processes to uphold compliance in a medical device manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections/testing of materials, components, and finished products.
- Conduct label inspections and verifications.
- Enter inspection/test results into appropriate databases.
- Review inspection records for compliance with product specifications.
- Maintain quarantine areas in a controlled and organized manner.
- Support RMA inspections (Return Material Authorization).
- Report non-conforming products to QC Management.
- Participate in environmental monitoring (controlled areas + weekly water sampling).
- Perform product discard and destruction activities.
- Maintain product retains as required.
- Order supplies needed for QC/inspection activities.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily QC tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required ( Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of Quality Control experience (medical device or manufacturing preferred).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures in manufacturing/medical device environment.
- Proficient in computer systems & databases.
- Good verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
