Quality Control Inspector I

Job Description

Job Summary:

• The Quality Inspector ensures all products, materials, and components meet company and regulatory standards through inspections, testing, and documentation.
• They also maintain proper control of quarantine areas and support quality processes to uphold compliance in a medical device manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections/testing of materials, components, and finished products.
• Conduct label inspections and verifications.
• Enter inspection/test results into appropriate databases.
• Review inspection records for compliance with product specifications.
• Maintain quarantine areas in a controlled and organized manner.
• Support RMA inspections (Return Material Authorization).
• Report non-conforming products to QC Management.
• Participate in environmental monitoring (controlled areas + weekly water sampling).
• Perform product discard and destruction activities.
• Maintain product retains as required.
• Order supplies needed for QC/inspection activities.
• Work collaboratively with team members to complete daily QC tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required ( Bachelor’s preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of Quality Control experience (medical device or manufacturing preferred).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures in manufacturing/medical device environment.
• Proficient in computer systems & databases.
• Good verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
