  • This includes hands-on benchwork, membrane testing, bioprocess application studies, and leading small-scale R&D projects from concept through testing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Study requirements and critical-to-quality (CTQ) parameters of membranes used in bioprocess.
  • Execute membrane testing (morphology, water flux, porometry, performance analysis).
  • Plan and perform scaled-down bioprocess filtration applications.
  • Lead and execute research projects – including planning, experiments, controls, and reporting.
  • Maintain detailed lab records and present experimental trend data.
  • Ensure instruments and lab equipment are calibrated, maintained, and in excellent condition.
  • Keep lab areas clean, safe, and compliant with protocols.
  • Contribute to new product development and innovation efforts within R&D.

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, or related field (MS/PhD preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years’ focus on bioprocess applications.

Experience in:

  • Membrane characterization (pore size, separation performance).
  • Filtration applications (direct and tangential flow).
  • Cell culture and small-scale bioreactors.
  • Analytical techniques, data interpretation, and protocol design.
  • Strong problem-solving & creative thinking mindset.
  • Knowledge of lab automation, robotics, and instrumentation highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & spoken English).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Tools & Techniques:

  • Filtration systems (tangential flow, direct flow).
  • Bioreactors & cell culture systems.
  • Membrane testing methods (porometry, water flux, morphology).
  • Analytical lab instrumentation & automation systems.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

  • Out-of-the-box thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping discipline.
  • Outgoing, collaborative, and able to present findings clearly.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and motivated in a fast-paced R&D environment.
