  • You will help to further develop and implement our bioanalytical and biomarker strategies to assist in the optimization of our GalXCTM and GalXC-PlusTM platforms.
  • It is highly desired that you will have experience in applying diverse mass spectrometric workflows such as triple quadrupole and high-resolution mass spectrometry to characterize and quantify drug and its metabolites via in vitro and in vivo assays.
  • Experience in the bioanalysis and quantitation of pharmaceuticals in biological matrices and familiarity with OligonucleoProduct bioanalysis would be a major advantage.
  • Reports to Director, RNAi Bioanalysis & ADME.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced and robust LC-MS analytical methods for the bioanalysis of different molecular formats such as small molecules, OligonucleoProduct, pep Products, and/or proteins.
  • Develop and implement innovative high-resolution mass spectrometry-based metabolite profiling and identification platforms.
  • Perform LC-MS-based small molecule biomarker analysis occasionally.
  • Review and translate complex LC-MS-based data sets and articulate findings to project teams.
  • Maintain/document records of all experiments, including QC review data, experimental results, and reports as appropriate into electronic laboratory notebooks.
  • Contribute to the team’s knowledge through updating scientific literature and discussions.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot lab instruments such as biological sample extraction systems, HPLC, and LC-MS.

Education and Experience:

  • Experience with LC-MS-based ADME and/or bioanalytical assays.
  • Experience with OS and/or other Mass Spectrometry data-acquisition software packages.
  • PhD or Master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, chemistry, biochemistry or related disciplines with relevant experience from industry or academia required.
  • Experience with bioanalysis of different molecular formats such as small molecules, pep Products, OligonucleoProduct and/or proteins.
  • Fellowship work can be counted as relevant experience, but preference will be given to a scientist with CRO bioanalysis experience.
  • See top of JD for required years of experience by level.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrable superior laboratory skills in biological sample extraction, chromatography, and/or quantitative/qualitative Mass Spectrometry.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary and fast-paced research environment with tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of guidance for industry bioanalytical method validation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Approximately 0-10% overnight travel.
  • Ability to lift 0-10 lbs.
