Job Description

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented scientist to join our Humanized In Vitro Model Development team.
  • The successful candidate will contribute to the development of human iPSC-derived neuronal models and assays to support drug discovery and translational research.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Culture, differentiate, and maintain human iPSC-derived neurons.
  • Perform routine cell-based and molecular assays including immunocytochemistry, qPCR, ELISA, MEA, luciferase, western blot, and fluorescence microscopy.
  • Conduct functional gene perturbations and pharmacological interventions.
  • Support assay development and optimization for phenotypic screening and mechanistic studies.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, maintain accurate records, and present findings in team meetings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists in different units.
  • Contribute to protocol development, SOP documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, Stem Cell Biology, or a related field.
  • LEVEL II – Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with human iPSC-derived neuronal cell models and assays.
  • LEVEL III – Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with human iPSC-derived neuronal cell models and assays.
  • Experience with CRISPR editing, RNA-seq, calcium imaging, high-content imaging, or complex co-culture systems is plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in cell-based assay techniques and fluorescence microscopy.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
  • Comfortable working with electronic lab notebooks.
  • Knowledge of automated liquid handling systems and high-throughput screening platforms.
  • Familiarity with cardiometabolic diseases is a plus.
