Scientific Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:

• Quality control lab that focuses on testing purchased and produced raw materials.
• A strong chemistry background is preferred, with lab and instrumentation experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support manufacturing by ensuring product and process quality through a variety of analytical test methods.
• Handle sample and reagent preparation in accordance with established SOPs for analytical and functional assays while maintaining detailed and accurate sample, product, and instrument records.
• Operate multiple analytical instruments (ie. NMR, GC, UV-Vis, Mass Spec, Capillary Electrophoresis, RP-HPLC) and process and analyze data to make pass/fail decisions on tested materials.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree and two years of applicable experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Proficiency with computers and a variety of software in a windows-based environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with analytical instrumentation preferred.
