Microbiologist

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Designs, conducts and interprets biological experiments to support development programs and identifies biological pathways and agent.
• Provides biological scientific support to technology and product development.
• Reviews scientific and technical summaries, and provides recommendations for potential business applications.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or related field of study and minimum 3-yrs experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Generally requires (2-4) years related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Manual dexterity to handle instruments, repetitive motions and standing for long periods of time.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and challenges at the same time
• Work independently and within a team environment.
• Knowledge of Immunohematology theory and practice
• Familiarity with FDA, OSHA, ISO, cGMP
