Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work independently, familiarity with common analytical techniques and instrumentation as well as interpretation of data (particularly HPLC, MS, LCMS, FTIR, etc.), data analysis and statistics.
- Conducts exploratory research to produce new knowledge and potential products; conceives, organizes, promotes, and executes ideas and plans to increase chemistry’s role in and contribution to the discovery and chemical approaches to meet exploratory objectives in product discovery.
- Develops research proposals to provide a technically and economically sound basis for developing and evaluating new or improved products, synthetic methods, processes, and analytical and physical testing techniques.
- Recommends utilization of the results or changes in the Product of work or termination of projects.

Education and Experience:
- BS, MS Preferred.
- 5+ with BS, 3+ with MS.
- Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
Skills:
- HPLC Method development and method validation.
- Protein and/or large molecule separation experience.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems as well as data analysis and communication skills.
