Job Description
Job Summary:
- Troubleshoot and repair point of care analysers.
- Follow lab protocols and procedures to complete instrument repairs and deliver test results.
- Process instruments according to all applicable procedures and quality requirements.
- Manage shared laboratory equipment and ensure equipment is up to date with calibration and maintenance procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed operating procedures to repair and test point of care analysers.
- Maintain productivity and quality requirements.
- Document repair activities required by the client Repair System.
- Operate safely within a biohazardous environment.
- Understand and operate digital test equipment.
- Meticulous and detail oriented.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills, report writing, and strong analytical skills
- Ability to understand and execute test scenarios
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, test software and software test tools
- Experience working in lab environment, set up test equipment and working with automated tools and tests.
Technical Skills and Competencies Required:
- Electromechanical assembly/disassembly.
- Ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
- Ability to read and understand schematics.
- Ability to read and follow operating procedures.
- Basic PC skills.
- Perform troubleshooting at a system level.
- Perform all duties as assigned.
- Follow cGMP, GDP, and safety requirements.
- Participate in and follow continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Tier boards, Kaizen, Gemba)
- Required to work onsite full-time, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, can work around moving machinery, and be around equipment that produces moderate noise.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ Years in electromechanical assembly/repair service environment.
