Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Laboratory Technician is responsible for utilizing a wide array of computers, tools and automated machines to manufacture and qualify microplates used in Liquid transfer products.
- This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is part of the Manufacturing Operation’s team located in San Jose, CA and will be an on-site role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Following established procedures to setup, fill and test various microplates.
- Analyze large datasets using Excel and other advanced data analysis software.
- Contribute to group problem solving and process improvement activities.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- AS degree in a Life Science, Chemistry, or Engineering technology discipline (required)
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a technical, manufacturing or laboratory position
- Proficiency in PC applications skills: MS Word, Excel, MS Access, Windows Explorer
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 35lb (not usual).
- Ability to do repetitive work.
It would be a plus if previous experience in:
- Prior work experience with automation, centrifuges, plate readers, liquid handling equipment.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming languages (not required – this is a plus).
