Job Summary:
- The Technician plays a crucial role in producing chemical reagents used in the medical diagnostics field.
- This position requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to strict quality and regulatory standards.
- The technician will follow detailed step-by-step procedures to ensure error-free production, helping healthcare professionals diagnose patients accurately worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare buffers and reagents, including mixing, pH adjustments, and testing using spectrophotometers and client instruments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes and periodic quality checks.
- Perform routine calibration and maintenance of lab instruments.
- Clean and assemble glassware and lab components used in manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Utilize computer systems for data entry, analysis, training, and communication.
- Keep work areas clean and organized (sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree (AA) or coursework in chemistry, biology, or related sciences.
- 6 months – 1 year experience in a GMP/GLP laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of pH adjustments, buffer preparation, and lab techniques.
- Experience working in a regulated industry is highly preferred.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, timekeeping systems).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods during the shift.
