Job Description
Role Summary:
- Research-based technical development role supporting projects across the North America Zone Taste Elevation business.
- Contribute to technical projects aligned with business initiatives focused on innovation and renovation.
- Apply scientific principles and prior learning to new situations.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously with minimal guidance.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exhibit a collaborative mindset and provide creative solutions.
Key Components:
- Conduct analytical measurements of products and/or packaging in a laboratory environment using various equipment.
- Accurately record, transpose, and analyze data.
- Support development and commercialization of new and improved products.
- Manage laboratory ingredient inventory, sanitation, and sample shipping/receiving.
- Assist Food Scientists with lab and pilot plant experiments.
- Pre-weigh ingredients.
- Support processing and packing of formulas.
- Handle labeling and case-packing.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking ability.
- Self-starter with a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and seek guidance when needed.
- Familiarity with MS365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams).
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (Chemistry, Microbiology, or related)
Preferred:
- Food, Dairy, Meat Science, or Food/Chemical Engineering.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capability to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly.
