Associate Research Scientist

Job Description

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a scientist with a strong interest in immunology to join our early translational group in Lawrenceville, NJ.
• Our purpose is to support programs as they transition from discovery to a FIH study.
• The qualified candidate will process human samples, maintain the laboratory’s biobank (including sample storage and retrieval), and perform a range of experimental procedures under the guidance of senior scientists.
• The type of experiment will vary, depending on program needs.

Experimental techniques could include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Processing human tissue and blood
• Cell-based assays
• Flow cytometry
• ELISAs/MSD assays
• RNA extraction and cDNA synthesis
• Gene expression array cards

Requirements:

• Candidate should have a B.S or M.S in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or a related field with at least 2-4 years of relevant experience in an industry setting.
• Hands-on experience with processing human blood for PBMCs
• Ensure accurate recording of data into an electronic laboratory notebook.
• The ideal candidate would be able to work independently, demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to work as a member of a large cross-functional team.
• Familiarity with programming languages and bioinformatics is desirable but not necessary.
