Job Description
Position Overview:
- Design, execute, and troubleshoot ELISA-based assays for target quantification.
- Assist with adaptation of manual ELISA workflows to automated liquid handling systems (e.g.,
- Hamilton STAR/Nimbus, client, or equivalent) to support high-throughput assays.
- Analyze samples using dPCR, qPCR and RNA-Seq pending project direction.
- Prepare reagents, buffers, and standards following established protocols and SOPs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) records in compliance with data integrity standards.
- Perform routine instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze and summarize experimental data and present results in regular project meetings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with scientists to advance project timelines.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality guidelines applicable to the laboratory.
Other Duties:
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Biologist to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with immunoassay techniques, molecular biology workflows, and laboratory automation platforms.
- This role will support ongoing research programs by executing experiments, maintaining instrumentation, and contributing to data analysis in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience (academic or industry) with ELISAs, and automated liquid handlers.
- Experience with cell culture and aseptic technique.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and documentation practices.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience with islet biology and potency assays.
- Experience with dPCR, qPCR, and RNA-Seq analysis.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated GxP laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g., GraphPad Prism).
