Assistant Scientist

Job Description

Job Summary:

• The Global Manufacturing Sciences team plays a key role in supporting activities to qualify applicable changes for implementation to the manufacturing processes which occur at the cell therapy GMP manufacturing facility.
• The primary focus of this role will be processing apheresis to generate cellular products and intermediates in support of Global Manufacturing Sciences groups within the Cell Therapy Technical Operations organization.
• Laboratory work will occur following sound laboratory practices in a non-GMP setting.
• The position will require experimental execution, documentation, data analysis, drafting of technical reports, and presentation of results.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment is required.
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
• Experience culturing mammalian cells is strongly preferred.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Associate Degree in Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or relevant scientific discipline with 0-2 years of industry bioprocess experience.

Preferred skills:

• Mammalian cell culture and cell banking.
• Experience with cell therapy process development or manufacturing.
• Buffer and cell culture media preparation.
• Excellent record keeping and documentation skills.
• Proficient use of MS Office products.
• Ability to meet deadlines, adapt to rapid changes, and work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong prioritization skills.
